I have a major problem that has only begin since aquiring the newest version of ANYDVD 5.4.1.1. NOw i have a Gigabyte 8KNXP (Rev 2.0) motherboard & apart from all the other fancy Hardware i have with i also run 4 Optical drives as my PC is great at (or was) multitasking. I have 1 Lite-On DVD SOHW 1673s & 3 Lite-On COMBO SOHC 5232K SCSI CDROM's. And as the board has four IDE channels unlike most that only have 2 each of these optical drives is on it's only channel & are set as master devices.My Hard Drives are run from the board 4 Serial ATA Ports and don't have a problem. But since installing the new version of ANY DVD 5.4.1.1 when i put a disc in one of my Combo drives on IDE 3 or 4 it seems DVD Shrink or whatever program i open to use that disc crashes & cannot be close,i am only able to use TASK MANAGER and if ANYDVD happens to be running it won't even let me close that,and the majority of the time i have to reset the computer because it won't let me reebot or turn off which computers don't like but it never causes any errors,and also if i start my pc with a disc in 1 of the bottom 2 drivesupon startup,once i enter my password the computer logins in & i get my background & nothing else it totally freezes & i have to restart again even if i take the disc out nothing happens.All this gear was working before 100% until i installed the New Version of ANDVD,i tried uninstalling it but the drives keep freezing most of the time though not as much,i have tried BIOS updates,Drivers & everything else i can think of to rectify this,and my final straw at this stage is to try & directly Flash the BIOS's of my GigaRAID ATAPI BIOS ULTRA ATA IDE Controllers or whatever it is called to see if it helps.So if there is anyone out there who can help me on this or needs to know more specifics to do so, let me know i'd be very grateful.
