I have copied numerous discs after "reathoring" because the movie is so big. After I reauthor, there are two seperate main titles, 1 and 2. Sometimes, one is full screen and the other is wide screen. But sometimes both are widescreen, and both are the same file size. What is the difference between the 2? I have tried to view each one and I so not see any difference.

I experieced this same thing when I copied National Treasure and found that the only difference between the two titles was that title 2 had the opening credits in French. Don't know if this answers your question or not, but just thought i would tell you bout my experience. Hope this helps.

They differ... The latest occurence for me with two titles was one with director's comments and one without...

Same thing w/ "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes." There are 3 titles when re-authored. All are exact same length and size but one is the normal movie, one is with commentary, and one is in "tomato mode."

Your right usually one is "Widescreen" and the other is "Full Screen". Sometimes there will be alternate endings though, both files will be exactly the same except for the last 10 minutes or so. Sometimes one is the "Theatrical" version and the other is the "Standard" version.


"Title 1" is the one you want the majority of the time.

Monster-in-law was wide screen and full screen as two separate titles under main movie. I have also seen where the titles represent diferent camera angles, alternative endings, or director's comentary.
