DVD43 decrypted and DVD Shrink; however DVD Decrypter will not burn, it says I/O Error.

Anyone else have this problem?

Or would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction.

Thank you for any help

I'm not sure it's a good idea to have DVD43 and DVD Decrypter running together. It's either or, not at the same time.

Click on my link, there should be excellent info on ScubaPete's guide.

Good Luck!

DVD43 was used to decrypt and then I used DVD Shrink and DVDDecrypter to burn.

DVDDecrypter was not able to crack code on my newer movies.

This is system I have been using for about year and has worked fine until problem with Sky Captain.

I use Verbatim media only.

I had been using DVD43 and shrink together for a few months and didn't have any problems until then. Also in that thread i have a link to a very good error code listing at digital-digest. You can look up your particular error code and the various fixes found for that error. Give it a try. I learned a lot looking thru that.

DVD Decrypter should have no problem with this movie, not unless you have a bad or dirty disk. I have done this one using these programs and there is no special protection. Try cleaning your disk, or take it back and get another it has some kind of imperfection on it.

I was able to back up "Sky Captain" using the last version of DVDShrink to rip (with no other programs running) and then Nero to burn. It does not have any of the tougher new copy protections on it, so there is no reason to try to use AnyDVD or DVD43. If this method does not work, then I would suspect you have a dirty disc, or a damaged disc.

I was also able to back this DVD up using the last version of DVDDecrypter to rip it to the hard drive, and then DVDShrink to reauthor it, and then Nero to burn it. Again, without trying to use DVD43 or AnyDVD, since they are not needed with this particular DVD. If this method does not work, then I would suspect you have a dirty disc, or a damaged disc.

Finally, using AnyDVD along with DVDDecrypter or using DVD43 along with DVDDecrypter is just asking for trouble. The author of DVDDecrypter made this very clear, and I have read literally hundreds of posts in the last 8 months from people who could not understand why they were getting error messages. Both of these programs can cause an error and a problem on a lot of newer discs when combined with DVDDecrypter, which DVDDecrypter would have handled just fine, all alone.
