I have some downloads, mainly tutorials, in ISO format. I have burned them as images (NRG) and they are in My Documents. When I then burn the image to CD, they won't work. Is there something else I must do to make them run when I put the CD in?
I have ruined about 6 CD s so far!
I did search the forums for the same problem but found no results.

OK to that. Will that let the CD start on insertion? Second question, rather than keep on burning U/s CD s how about using a CD-RW. Will that work as well?

NRG files are image files, just like ISO's so your best bet would extract them using magicISO then burn them, and to you second question...yes, please use a cd-RW so you don't waste so many discs LOL.

Is there a reason where you can't just straight up burn an NRG image? I haven't heard of the format before, so I'm curious.
And are you asking about Autorun? Because not all CDs have Autorun, so you might in fact have been burning good disks, but you thought they were bad because they didn't pop up when you put them in. Go into My Computer and open the disk, and all the files may well be on the CD. Give that a shot. (If that's not the problem then just ignore me. =P)

Im almost certain this is how you make an autorun file. Open notepad, and copy and paste the following.
[autorun]
open=yourfileslocation/yourfilesname.exe
Replace the yourfileslocation/....with the actual name of the file and the location of it on the disc. Then save the file as autorun.inf, and burn it along with the file to the CD.

Goly gosh! So much good advice I'm overwhelmed. I have saved it all to a single word file and I'll be able to print it out and then act on it.
My sincere thanks to all of you who have contributed, I will let you know when I succeed (not if, you notice!)
I'm tied up at the weekend but comes Monday, look out ISO s.
