I ripped this movie with decrypter. It only saved 2 files 1 iso file and 1 mds file.

In shrink when I author there are no movie titles etc. to select.
What do I do with this one. Is there something wrong in my settings in one of the 2 programs?

@Wabman:

I know of a shortcut, but I'm not sure if it will work for everyone.

Right click on the ISO file, there should be an option titled "Open with", select this and you'll get a window for all, if not most of the proggies you have in your PC. Since you already have DVD Shrink, just tick on that option and voila! You will automatically open the movie with Shrink and it will start the "Analysis" mode of the process.

Good Luck!

Thanks guys got it to work.
But why is it that DVD Decrypter ripped it in that fasion instead of the standard results of many video files? Did I do something wrong?

You were in the wrong mode. You must have ripped it in "ISO Read" mode, instead of "File" mode.

The ISO image is the way I usually do it. Not sure if the file mode is better or not.

You need to start ripping in "File" mode, "ISO" mode is for making 1:1 identical copies. Only way you can make a identical copy of most newer movies, is to buy dual layer blank media.

Not sure I understand that jmet. I open the ISO with DVDShrink and fit it to a disk. Pretty much the same thing I do with a disk that doesn't require DVD Decryptor. I usually only use DVD Decryptor when it has the new Sony protection.

neodave,
The recommended way is to rip the movie using DVDDecrypter is in file mode. But if your way works and you are happy w/ the results then by all means do it that way. The file mode way was the way that LightningUK recommended when he first developed the program .(If I remember correctly it was the only way) He then added the .iso read and write later and Shrink then added read the image file and burn w/ DVDDecrypter after that.

Wabman, you can use FlaskMpeg on your single .iso file to make a DivX movie, once you have all the neccessary video/audio codec plugins.
