did anyone use the PAL-to-NTSC patch?
i used it, but cant get the Y-Fix to work.
got the NTSC patch to work, but its to low on the screen, therefore missing part of the game.

if anyone got the Y-fix to work on NTSC, please post the working fix number.

thanks

so you guys have gotten the game to work after rebuilding and using good media?

(i don't care if it's a bad game i am also gonna get pro evo 5)

i am getting it right now and tomorrow i am gonna rebuild the iso(my 1st and only attempt and rebuilding a game was gundam something tonight, and it wouldn't load :( i did get all the menus to work though, so maybe i missed a dummy file?)

i am thinking of using isobuster to get the files, drop them in a folder, add them in the order i see them in isobuster to nero and burn

would that be all right or do i need to use cddvdgen? (haven't used it yet, but i do have it installed)

thank you in advance

(i also don't care about playing online or doing anything online with it so whatever dnas issues there are if the game works without it then it will save me time)

ok I downloaded dvd zoneloader from swapmagic fix.com and it works. I think you still need to apply the PAL to NTSC yfix and i'd apply the vfix to just in case, because thats what i did. Then load up your swap magic disk swap it for zoneloader in zoneloader pick NTSC if the patches are applied and it works great.

if u have swap magic 3.3 and above, u dont need to apply the PAL-to-NTSC patch, because it is able to run both PAL and NTSC games

Thats what i thought but for some reason my swap magic 3.6 wouldnt run it. Any ideas, I was choosing pal then pressing x and the screen would just be scrambled and in black and white. The zoneloader was the only thing that got it to work for me.

What does a rebuilt game mean? does that mean you have backed it up already on to DVD or CDRW ?

Big Thanks To Jamaal10!

Dfram, on the mode selector, dont select PAL, select NTSC, because u want to change to game to NTSC mode.

rebuilt means after u have an iso of the game, u then rebuild that iso, to make it smaller, so it would be playable on swap magic

alright i opened isobuster, draged and dropped, then put the files in Nero 1 by 1

burned to dvd

no PAL fix, nothing but what was listed

and i got "Not a valis PS2 disc" error

so do i have to go out and buy new dvd discs (higher quality ones?)

no i didn't do that, i dropped them all in, then with isobuster open and Nero open i looked at the file order in isobuster

i just applied the PAL to NTSC patch and i am gonna burn on 2 different medias and see what happens

try dropping them in the order on isobuster, and burn with a good media (iam using RiDATA, best media i've used)

and 1 more thing, what swap magic do u have?, which version?

alright so i just used the pal to ntsc patch, it said it patched 6 things

burned it on different media

and it did load

but now i have a black screen

so i am gonna unrar the iso again and do it all over but leave it in pal

i have swap magic plus 3.6

just ordered it last week

what i mean by load is it didn't give me the not valid ps2 disc in swap magic

i loaded it in normal and pal mode with the special boot

again, when u load it, MAKE SURE THE MODE IS NTSC mode.

and the reason why the game load with a complete black screen is because of the y-fix.

i recommend u not patching it at all, because your swap magic already have the mode selector option.

so just rebuild the game, and burn it, try that for now, and i gurrantee it will work.

i read in another thread about ea sports games that you drop the files into Nero backwards and it works

so i am gonna use the last 2 dvds i have of the media that loaded and went to the black screen

burn one with the isobuster order first, then reverse the order

no patch and i am gonna switch my video mode to NTSC and do a special boot then if that doesn't work sit around and sulk :) then read some more and try again

i am gonna try both, right now i am putting the files into Nero the way isobuster has them listed, i found some files in the alocale folder called DUM_DAN DUM_ENGP.MPC and other files that start with DUM and end in what looks to be a language abbreviation are those the dummy files? if so them i should fix them shouldn't i?

you guys never said anyting aobut them so i don't think they should be a problem

but i am gonna go burn right now so be back in like 25 minutes
