@ cougar, just a quick note to you
i have used the 'data' dvd format, and i have put multiple movies on a single disk, and my quality loss is not noted. however, i will add this, i do have an good stand alone with HDMI upconversion, a high def tv, appropriate cables to support them, but, the files i have on said disk are .AVI format (and i never got them off the net), used Nero to make the 'data' dvd, with workable menus too.
not knocking the VSO proggy, as i have used it and i like it, but its faster for me to do 'data' and very very simple too. just an fyi.
3- I can't say it's better or worse than Nero or other tools.
I think they are *AS* good as others, it's a personal choice to use or not to use them !
There are so many software out there, you need to pick and choose and use tools you are comfortable with, and that provides you the wanted end results :)
@ cougar
i agree 100%......... whatever proggy works best for you. VSO software is very good, i like the DivX proggy. but, alas, i make 90% of my disks data, works well for me and my dvd player. i have never tinkered around with VOB files, but some day i will.
