hi i just bought a v13 psTWO. should i return it and try to get the v12? does it still have the laser problems like the v12? also, is there a way i can keep my warranty becus the sticker is on the bottom on the ps2 and its ontop of a screw. i kno ur supposed to heat it but what do u do if u want to put it on?

Keep your v13 ps2, as that is the version where they fixed the lasers. Around 1-3% of v12 ps2's had laser defects, and many more laser defects occured if a modchip was added. So coming from a guy who has worked w/ both ps2 versions, keep your v13. The bottom line is that if you take off your sticker, your system will be voided, no ifs ands ors about it.

k, so there is no way to save the warranty? also will the fliptop work because i just bought the package from consolepoint.com. will it work? and how hard is it to install the fliptop?

Not that I know of...

Installing the flip top is very easy, here are some instructions on how to do it...
