Staples is running a Sale on 30 packs of Fuji DVD media for $8.94. Sale starts Sunday 9/25/2005. Check them out. I am not sure who makes these, but they have a colored surface. Th Sale is for 30 packs, so this is a Great deal! Especially if they're Made in Japan! Here is the link to the upcoming Sale item.

Good news for me!
I am running very low on my media supply. No staples sale for this week and I don't want to drive 40 mins to Office depot with the price of gas.I'm on my last 10 sony yudens and last 13 fuji yudens.
Thanks for the heads-up on that sale bunnyrip. I will be stockpiling them.
For that price,everyone should give them a shot!

No Problem at all! I had advance notice from resellerratings.com, I thought I would pass it on to all my friends at AfterDawn! I don't know if they're Made in Japan, BUT, for about 30 cents each, they are worth buying. I haven't heard of Fuji selling any poor quality Media. I would say that even if they're made in Taiwan, they're Decent!

actually, the Fuji 8x DVD-R made in taiwan is NOT decent, PERSONAL OPINION of course, Prodisc is NOT something i consider even decent quality~ :) it doesn't totally SUCK, but, not on the same playing field as TY or MCC manufactured discs~ :) juss my 2 cents~
but, thank you for the deals nevertheless, im looking at about 500 new blanks this time around...gotta love these sales~

I was in Staples today, and remembered this thred. I got to looking through the Fuji's, and only one pack of the ten I looked at, were made in Japan. I didn't look at all of them, so there may be more.
You will need to look at the packages, because they have a mix of both. I hope they still have some Monday................

The Sale is on the "Colored" 30 packs, and at least in my local store, the ones they have are all made in Japan. The Sale actually starts tomorrow. 9/25/2005. Thanks kivory666 for the info about the Fuji, Taiwan made DVD-R. I always use DVD+R anyway, but nevertheless, good info! Thank You! I'll be at my local store first thing in the morning! For $8.94 a 30 pack, darn right I will! Only the Japan made ones, I am "Picky". Pays to be with DVD Media, right guys?

it's all about sharing the wealth of information to anyone who has ears to listen, i just personally don't like the quality on the Prodiscs (8x DVD-R made in taiwan fujis) :) that is just MY opinion, few others have success with them, but for that price, i won't even bother considering it~ :)
rest assured i WILL be @ staples tomorrow for the MIJ Fuji colored ones, those bad boys will go nicely with my new pack of colored Sharpies~ :)

I found plenty of those Cool Colored Fuji DVD+R 30 packs for $8.94 Made in Japan, yes, they MID as YUDEN000 T02. Gotta Love those TYs for 30 cents each! Very Cool individual colored 10 pack containers too! I saw a LOT of Made in Japan DVD-R too for those that like those! Blue, Green & Orange tops, those Black Sharpies will show up nicely! Stock Up Time! This price beats the Best Buy Fuji Sale price Big Time! I got 3 30 packs, that's 90 for a Total with tax of $28.16

Yeah arniebear, I bought 90 +Rs this morning, tempted to get 30 more, but I have a LOT of blanks, hard decision. Most likely, I'll get one more pack of 30. 30 cents each is just SO GOOD for
YUDEN0002 T02 DVD+R!

I bought 3 packs of +R all made in Japan this morning at Staples. I bought some -R's for a friend and had to search for the made in Japan since most were made in Taiwan.

just bought a pack of these fujis+ but they are made in taiwan...when i got home i called staples for any that are made in japan and was told that all they have -, + are taiwan made and to check back friday when they get new stocks
should i bring them back?

Take them back? Well, that is up to you, the made in Japan ones are The Best, however the Taiwan ones are OK I guess. Personally, I would always LOOK at the label before buying. It plainly says where they're made. I LOVE the Made In Japan Taiyo-Yudens!

I just picked up 10 spindles of the Yuden000-T02 plus fuji's. Heck of a deal.All 10 packs made in japan.
They've also got the fuji slimline jewel cases for %8.94. Looks like a good week to stock up on Taiyo yuden media.

Indeed saugmon, indeed! I'm returning tomorrow! So you got the DVD+R ? I noticed they had pleanty of DVD-R Made in Japan too. Those Slimline jewel cases are a Steal too!

awww...my local staples had ZERO of the 8x DVD-R that were made in japan~ :(
but, regardless, i like DVD+R better ANYWAYS, hehe~ got me about 450 of em' LOL....15 packs of the 30 count~ LOL pushed it out in a big red shopping cart and the guy parked next to me was like, uh...wtf?
if only these people KNEW the extent of my excessive ways...i think this year alone i've purchased about 3000 Taiyo Yuden blanks at the various sales @staples, best buy, compusa, and online...this should hold me for awhile~ :)

I didn't even check out the dash fuji for country of origin. I will have to pick up some more of those jewel cases and will check those fuji dash out again. I booktype my plus media to dvd-rom,so I don't mess with dash anymore.
I figure the discs will be gone way before payday,but there should be plenty of cases left by then.

just got back from another staple store with 10 packs japanese +, and 2 cases of slim jewels
looks like i will be spending my spare time copying the 75 staples brand and khypermedia dvds unto these fujis for the next 2 weeks
what is better or faster than decrypter iso read and write to copy these?

@kivory666: How ya been old friend. I have been away for awhile and came home just in time to buy about 300 of those Staple MIJ Yudens. I love the colors and they are all Tys. They had TYG-02 and Yuden000-T02-000, since I already have 350 TYG02 I bought all 300 Yudens. Now I have about as much media as you. Over 2000 pieces. Did you get in on the Verbs 16x for 2.50USD 10 packs at Staples. (Unadvertised Sale) If you see them in the store they won't be marked down until you go the register and then they go from 9.99 to 2.50. The DL media is 5.50 for 3. See ya around the forum buddy.

Definitely go with DVD Decrypter in Mode ISO read and Mode ISO write. It'll be more aggressive and quicker than re-doing them with DVD Shrink.
Since those backups are on staples and kypermedia, DVD Decrypter may work. Lets hope for the best and you don't have many errors on them.
I have had no trouble re-ripping some cmags,but I think kypermedia has some manufacturers that make cmags look like ty! Very poor media.

I couldn't get to Staples today, but I sent the wife and she said the only Fujis they had were "Made In New Jersey" O_o
Does anyone know the ID on these, or did she have some sort of brainfart while reading the label? I can't seem to find any info on them.
