I got a Bush DVRH501 dvd recorder/vhs combo last November from Argos. It has now died, Argos offered replacement/refund I took the refund after trying various models in-store (Bush has changed to +r/rw format since I bought). Here is my problem: I have a collection of around 40-50 DVD -r disks on which I was compiling on-going music collections of various artists. I have now been left with these disks, which I cannot finalise or even play on any other machine. Any suggestions or solutions would be gratefully received, or am I stuffed?

Hi Rotary,
Thanks for the suggestion but I have tried all parts of Nero and it won`t read or allow access the unfinalised -r produced on a dvd recorder. Thanks once again and any other suggestions would be welcome. Regards Eric.

hi
ok did you use nero burning rom? if so dont
use nero vision express as it will be VR format or something from a recorder! may have to pull in the files from the dvd then make new disc!??
but also you could pull the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS from the disc place on your hard drive then load to dvd shrink to make iso and burn in dvd decrypter...

so the disc seems empty if placed in your drive? even if looking at it from my computer location?

Hi. Rotary: Yes the disc reads empty if placed in the drive even if looking at it from my computer location.
Hi Killalot: The compilations were created on the dvd recorder: Each track added when I made the original recording via cable. Then edited on the dvd recorder to tidy each track. I then played back this edited track via my pioneer DVD player and recorded on to a dvd -r in the Bush recorder. These compilation would continue until the dvd was close to full at which time I would finalise the DVD ?R making it compatible with any other players.
