I looked through at least ten pages and didn't find any answer so i just started my own thread. I did however see places where you can buy the mod chip but I need a place that provides and installs it for me I suck at solder.

Many of the sites that sell mod chips offer installation services as well.

Or, you could always find a friend that knows how.

Try this link http://www.divineo.com/cgi-bin/div-us/cat_gamecube.html
and look in "Parts and Repair" there you can buy chips and cases for your cube
but you have to mod it yourself

Thanks if only you had been around a little bit earlier, I sent out my cube sometime monday morning to some site called ahead games or something, they charged me $167, for install service, xecuter silver case, qoob pro chip, custom LED light and shipping and handling. I hope it all works out.

Yeah I know thats why I need to learn how to solder, so I won't have to pay these outrageous install service prices.

man thats a rip off, leds cost less than $10 for 100 on ebay, the chip and case could be about $80 and install is soo easy I would recommend reading up this site:

http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm

there are guides for soldering and chip install

:( yeah it's really the install service that jacked the price up for me I looked around at other sites for install services and they seemed to offer around the same price so, rip off or not idk how to solder so I ended up paying loads of money to have someone do it for me.
