Hd Loader into Hd Advanced

Hey all,
I got hd loader and run it on my internal 120Gb. hd on the PS2. I was wondering if I bought Hd Advanced would I be able to just pop it in and have it work and still have all my saved games on the Hd? Or would I have to reinsatll all the games onto the hd.

they all install the games with same file types. so there will be no problems. i have hdadvance, hdloader, and toxic loader on mc exploit and all work fine

thanks. The reason I would switch out is because one of my friends in getting into the hd on PS2 phase and he wants me to buy him a hd loader disk. I figured, since i'm running out of room on my hd, that I would sell him my hd loader and buy an advanced for myself. Which one do you like better? loader or advanced?

i use advance for pretty much everything, works great and has DVD9 support. but i use it on memory card exploit, if you or your friend have a modded ps2 or smd, i would just install the memeory card exploit. but im a cheap azz.

great! DVD9 just means like the type of game right? Like I think God of War is DVD9 and the Metal Gear Game...

no DVD9 is the size of the disc. DVD5 is a single layer dvd, DVD9 is a dual layer dvd. without haveing dual layer support, converting DVD9 games will only convert first half of game, but even useing a new version of a loader to convert will only convert first half of game, need to use hdl_dump or winhiip to transfer through network or directly connected pc. hd advance just has the buffer support to play them. not to install

well I guess advanced won't be very good for me in that case because I would only use loader or advanced to put the games on the hd and play them. I don't really feel like going through the mem. exploit process. Well, what games are DVD9? Are there any worth it to go through the mem. exploit process?

the memory exploit isn't like something extra to do. its a way of getting one of the loader programs or homebrew progs on your ps2 for free. that is if you already have a modded ps2 or smd. it uses a ps1 trigger disc to load. haveing a key loader or key launcher is like a browser window from wich you can pick wich loader or homebrew (you've installed on mc) to load. for instance i have hdadvance, hdloader, toxic loader, cogswap loader, cd loader, ftp_exec, and hdl_dump in my key launcer. all installed on mc. run a search for mc exploit, will give you most of the details you need on installing and where to find the neccassary elf files.

I'm a newbie in this hdloader stuff. I've read many forum about hdloader and i know how to install it, but how do you copy the games onto the hard drive? I have swap magic 3.6 with slide card and i was thinking about switchin to hdloader.

you wouldnt neccessarily be switching from your method of booting backups. the loader progz are a way of installing, playing, and managing games on hd
