OK. So i got the
1. dvd burner
2. alcohol 120% thing.
3. The small travel sized ps2 with the flap top.
4. DVD+R 4x (Hypermedia)
5. A Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monk ISO
6. ps2 gameshark

1. K, does the game shark work like it used to in the psx, and is there a different way to do it.
2. Is there any software that is made specificaly for Ps2 burning alone.

DVD Decrypter is really good for backing up PS2 games.

MODE > ISO > READ...
MODE > ISO > WRITE...

Write the iso onto a high quality DVD at a slow speed (1x,2x etc.)

then i can just throw it in my ps2 and it will work?, or do i need something else, cuz everytime i make a back up and put it in it says insert a psx or ps2 disk, i am tired of waisting cd's

You need either a modchip or swapmagic discs to play backups. if you want to know more about either, use the SEARCH, cause i'm not in the mood to explain the whole thing again.
