Why Analyze Using DVD Shrink?

Hello All.

I tried doing a search for my question with not much luck. Basically what I'm wanting to know is after I re-author a DVD, I have the option to "Back-Up" or "Analyze" the DVD.

Do I have to Analyze the DVD before Backing-up? (I know I dont have to Analyze if the DVD size is small enough) Does it make any difference?

Any input would be helpful.
