Black and White picture using VGA box with PAL games

I have a modded Messiah 2 chip, with NTSC console. When playing Pal games on regular NTSC tv, I get color picture but rolling. I invested in a generic VGA box which allows me to connect to a computer monitor.

When uing NTSC games on the montior they are fine. When playing PAL games the picture is stable but Black and white. Pressing the Fresh button on the VGA box the monitor cycles with different resolution like 60 hz, and 75 Hz.

Is there a solution for this., Help is appreciated.

does the chip have a force mode for other regions?
I know mine has a Force NTSC or Force PAL mode.
I change it to Force NTSC and it forces all the PAL games
to the correct screen mode.
You could always get PALtoNTSC patcher and patch and reburn it.

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell me more about the Force change to the chip. My question is that I am not sure why the colors are not there when using the VGA box only in PAL games.
