I realize this thread has probably been made already, but i dont where to find it. Does anybody know of a fix for making GT4 work on a fliptop?

if your using swap the only fix for gran turismo is a dvd rip. check swapmagicfix.com to change gran turismo to DVD5 and then burn it

Its becasue swap doesnt play DVD-9 also know as Dual Layer

i am not using swapmagic or any ripped discs. i am using a bone stock pstwo flip top with a store bought gran turismo 4. is there a firmware upgrade or software upgrade for the ps2 to allow the game to play?

thanx glitched. i was wondering because my ps2 plays everything else i throw at it. a friend of mine was on the gran turismo forums on some other site, and he told me that there where a lot of people complaining about gt4 not playing on their fliptops. something about a glitch with all of them i think. and as far as i know, the gt4 is the only game that the fliptops wont play.
