Hi,
I just recently purchased Swap Magic v3.6 and the Slide Tool.
I backed up X-Men Legends 1 with DVD Decrypter.
I also burned it with DVD Decryter at 4X 8X and at its MAX.
Well I tried all of them and I am recieving the "Invalid PS2 Disc" error.

Any help will be aprecited and if there is anything I havent posted here that you need to know then please tell me.

Thanks

For info on using Swap Magic with the slide tool check here: http://www.saveware.com/SlideCardUsageAndInstall.htm I reccomend the flip top it's a little bit of assembly but it beats the crap out of using the slide card. For info on installing a flip top check here: http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/fliptop/page1.cfm Good luck.

I already know how to use the Swap Card. I always proplerly use the Swap Card to eject the DVD tray. Then put the Backed up game in and push it in. Then it makes a weird sound and it says that the Disc is invalid.

Are you using DVD-R's or DVD-RW's? The PS2 laser doesn't read DVD-RW's well (if at all) and that could be the problem. If your using DVD-RW's check here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/140177 Also what type of media are using, sometimes the media you are using can cause a grinding or clicking sound. I have experienced this using silver CDR's which hold 800 MB's. The PS2 will click and grind as the laser moves up and down trying to read the media. Verbatim and Sony seem to be popular DVDR's that work well. The same problem with DVD's can be found here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/199649 It sounds like you are burning your backup's correctly, but just for posterity how are you using DVDencrypter to burn them? Hiredgoon has the correct method posted here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/117975 Good luck!

That is how I learned how to properly burn with DVD Decrypter.

I am using DVD-R's and the media is Maxell.

I do hear a grinding noise. It does that for about 30 seconds to a minute then I recieve the Error.

Yeah the media is probably the problem. Try using Verbatim DVDR's, I have read over and over that those seem to be the most compatible with the PS2. Hope it helps.

I find that the best thing is high quality +R media like TY burned at 4-8x depending on PI/PO error rates with your specific burner. I generally set the discs to DVD-ROM bitset just to ensure compatability.
