Need some help here. I am using DVD Decrypter and DVD shrink to burn some dvd's. Everything works fine up to the part when it finishes analysing and it starts to burn. There is a blank media in the dvd drive and the dvd decrypter starts to burn and at exactly 35% an error stops the burning process. I get the error "I/O device failiure". I restarted the whole process and it stopped at the same spot. Can someone please provide me with some insight on this subject. Do I need a patch of some sorts? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I/O errors are generally a message that your drive can't read the discs.
In this case, it's happening during the burn, so my thoughts point to poor quality blank discs.
If you don't have it, download DVD Identifier

Find it here:

Run DVD Identifier with your blank in the drive and tell us what the manufacturer ID code is that it gives.

Another possibility is outdated firmware. But let's tackle the disc ID first.

You can also use DVD Decrypter to get this information, just put a blank disk in and go to the mode tab in Decrypter and check iso write it will ID the disk and code. Then go to the Tools tab, then drive and capabilities, a screen will come up that wil give you other info on your drive, post the make/model/firmware of your burner. It looks like this

Tried uninstalling the driver and burning stopped again at 35%

Scanned blank media manufacturer code is MXLRGO3 (Maxell)

Scanned burner Drive: TSSTCORP CD/DVD TS-H5528
firmware:HP08

tried 2 different movies and stopped at 35% on each

hope this helps

thank you
