Which DVD Media is a better choice?

Just out of curiousity i want to know what u people think are the best dvd medias to use to burn dvd's. I used Ridatas to burn my dvd's. Recently i ran out of my Ridatas and bought a brand called Maxell, boy do they suck, well for me anyways. The program i used to rip my dvd's doesnt even work with Maxells for some reason. Is there anything else that is good out there besides Ridata.

Taiyo Yuden and Verbatim seem to be the best choices among the rest. Fuji, Sony and Maxell media that were made in Japan are said to be good as well. I've never used Memorex, but apparantly they suck.
