i used dvd fab decrypter to rip to hard drive then i opened up shrink clicked on open files clicked video ts and then it gave me the error i mentioned. i have tried just about everything i clicked on the question mark like is listed in the guide and i have version 2.9.5.0 is this the correct version? i just downloaded it from the software section of afterdawn. i am going to try to uninstall dvdfab and reinstall and see what happens.

sirenia ,
The only thing I can think of is the DVD has a bad press. Do me a favor and D/L the free trial version Of AnyDVD. Install it and then re-boot and then insert the movie in the DVD-Rom. After you hit cancel to Play open Shrink and see if you can read the files. If you can then analyze the movie and then compress it and then burn it. Post back the results

sirenia - You have a badly authored/defective copy. Please exchange it for a different copy.

sirenia: I couldn't back that up using the latest dvd fab decrypter 2.9.5.0 and AnyDVD. Same identical error as you have when you try to open up that ts file using DVD Shrink.

I did download the free trial of dvdfab decrypter express 2.9.5.0 and that program worked.Along with AnyDVD running in the background. You get a 30 day trial for free. Give that program a shot.

Well I had the same problems but I did download AnyDVD and then ripped to iso using the last version of DVD Decrypter and then burned it with the same program it worked. I was surprised freeware Dvdfab didn't work.
