I don't back up a lot of cds, just some discs I keep in my vehicles. My spindle of maxells are about used up and I found some Imation white inkjet full hub printable 48x cd-r's in the 30 pack spindle for $6.00. Heck,I got the epson r-200,why not print some cds up with it?

I got these Imations at a dollar store while I was looking for dvd cases that a buddy of mine told me they had.

I just backed up my pink floyd the wall cd set-on the fly. They look great printed off my epson r-200 printer and sound pretty good so far.

My question:
How's the quality of Imation cd-r media?
Did I get screwed on that price?

Thanks to anyone who helps to enlighten me on cd-r full hub printable media.

Glad to step in here and help ole buddy...or at least give a hit to this thead.

Sorry about the wait, as I don't frequent this side of the forum much. I've burned probably twice as many CD's as DVD's and until I started with the movies I never new there was such a big difference in media. I don't think the choices here (CD) are as critical as in the DVD biz.

My experience with Imation is limited, but the few I have used I don't know of any problems. My usual brand is Verbatim DataLifePlus, the same as my DVD blanks. I've used a lot of Sony's, Maxell's, and yes
gasp...Memosux. All have worked fine except for the black Memosux. And still several years after the demise of the original Napster, I have seen no loss in quality.

But a little research turned up a CDR Identifier that works much the same as DVD Identifier. Give you the manufacturer, dye used and compatability. I didn't look for a CDR data base so I don't know what to do with the information given to you by the identifier.

Good luck with those Imations, I don't think you'll have any probs, and the price sounds right.

Oh and I bought the r320 about a month ago and love it...where are you
getting the full hub printable DVD's?

P.S. Pink is my all time favorite classic rock band...Poop on led.

Hello LOCOENG. I've only burned about 5 or 6 of them. Seem to be ok. I've got some kinks and neil young to re-back,seeing as my first burns sucked that came off a very old cd-rw drive my neighbor gave me.
