For PC games either A120 or BlindWrite are both outstanding programs, but in order for them to make a successful copy you need to have the right type of burner - one that's EFM capable so it can accurately reproduce the copy protection on the new disc. What make/model burner(s) do you have?
As for your CRC error, that means your copy has unreadable data on it and your drive can't get by it. You may try using DVD Decrypter on it and up the nuber of retries on an error or completely ignore the errors altogether.
*Edit* Neither A120 or BlindWrite will mess with DVD Burning softwares. I've both apps installed along with several DVD apps with no problems whatsoever :)

I agree with Nephilim, I have Alcohol 120 and it work v. well with certain PC games and installs a v. handy Virual DVD drive but recently I've had problems backing up some PC software.
I'm fairly new to this and wish there were a single program / hardware specification with all the answers but as yet it seems to be the holy grail that I've not found! I'm going round in circles myself using a myriad of different programs (all of which seem to have limitations in software / inter-compatibility / support functions / decoding and encoding problems and file structure differences even with what I would think are simple tasks!)

It's truly a shame that SafeDisc and SecuROM have both become so difficult that only those who're willing and dedicated can back them up using specific hardware and a whole toolbox full of different apps. Sadly the old days when CloneCD was all you needed are long gone. The problem with the "All In One" idea is that there are close to a dozen different PC game protections and all of them are constantly being made more difficult so it'd be near impossible for anyone to stay on top of them all. We can only cross our fingers that bit burners become affordable!
rookie32,
Very few DVD burners have the necessary write quality (EFM capability) to correctly write the newer protections. I think the best you can do is use A120 with all it's emulation options enabled. The catch is you must have A120 installed on the PC with which you wish to play the game.

I used A120 on a game and it said it worked comletely and then i put the game in and it installed and everything but then i clicked on play and it said that there is an error and every time i try to play it keeps coming up with "there was an error" and i need the original disc to play it! very disappointing.

It means your copy isn't good enough.
What game is it?
What settings did you use?
What make/model burner are you using?
What burn speed did you use?
Do you have a ROM to play the game from?

The first problem I see is that you burned at maximum speed - a huge no-no when it comes to games. Try knocking the read and write speeds to 4X.
Also, the Harry Potter series use SafeDisc protection. Did you select the SafeDisc profile before burning?
I also need to know what brand and specdific model of the burner you're using.

I need to leave for work right now but I'll get A120 installed tonight so I can give you a step by step on the settings :)
Also when I refer to the 'burner' I mean the actual drive that you put the disc in - it's a very important piece of information.

When you open A120 what brand and model number does it list for the E drive?
