That would be pretty cool. But everything I've seen says that the 360 is more powerful in real world gaming tasks. The PS3 has more overall system performance, but 360 has more in the areas important for gaming. I'd say that if devs can push the PS3 (which will be tough because it's a hard-to-develop for platform) it is capable of more than 360. But what you'll probably see is that devs will just use the exact same graphics for both systems just because it won't be worth the time/money to squeeze the extra power out of PS3.

I hope so, but I think that's just wishful thinking. Bungie just felt that it was too powerful; if they felt that way for Halo 2, I don't why they'd change their minds for Halo 3.

Its false then. The pistol has not been confirmed. It was probably a site presuming that the Pistol would be in Halo 3 because the BR is.

I have to admit that i like that survival mode idea that would probably be better than bots funner too
Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity but I am not so sure about the universe.

i still think halo 3 needs bots. like it really does. cuz i like multiplayer but sometime i dont have ppl to play with or no live. bots are there and easily adjustable to a good setting for your skill level.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

ya and i don't know if you guys have played GRAW, the defend with Infinite bots coming to get you is really fun, they [bungie] should do it. and do like recon in a covenant ship looking for some lets say 'info' or 'a person' or something else objective wise with an intelligent AI. I know we can just hope bungie will do them, but they probably won't (knowing bungie)

attenuate really? so those sed are based on the quality of crt tube but finaly its going to perfection with no side to side angle crap outs or burn in ???? is this the " new plasmas" that we were waiting for after crt tube? i mean that plasmas were taken out for no dang reason but to make sales . then this is the next level after crt tube?... any disadvantes? i see a huge price ... oh well cross fingers that costco has it :P

SED is using a different tech than CRT, but the picture quality is going to be the same. The thin displays now don't have as good of a quality as CRT, but SED will. As you guessed the only real disadvantage we'll see is price, but that will come down over time. There's also going to be OLED TVs, but those are farther out, and I'm not sure where they'll be in terms of quality. My recommendation is A) Buy a DLP until SED prices come down or B) Buy nothing now and save for SED.

Sorry, it's just that when someone asks a question, I'd like to answer it. HDTVs are a big purchase, and if someone is uninformed they can end up wasting $5000+. Plus, it is sorta Halo 3 related; it's talking about how to get the best possible visual experience in Halo 3.
I hope Halo 3 can recapture the feel of Halo 1 single player. Don't get me wrong, Halo 2 was great too, but Halo 1 had a certain mood to it, sorta an eerie, lonesome, mysterious feel that was amazing.

Yeah Halo CE was probably like that because it was the first Halo and people didnt know what to expect. Now in Halo 2 you pretty much expect the flood to jump out at you etc. The music was a big contributing factor to the eeriness of Halo CE. In halo 2 they used a lot of guitar type music which removed the feeling of mystery since the Halos are supposed to be ancient. The music was good dont get me wrong, but i dont think it was completely suitable for Halo campaign.

ya CE had more in the levels, it was better to pwn things that you know you couldn't usually do on your own, like shooting down 5 banshees instead of jacking them (i know jacking was a good implant) but it made it harder, so you'd have to look around to kill them, and the Hunters weapons went kinda crappy on halo 2, much more powerfull on CE. Ya i prefer CE campaign... Until Halo 3

the CE campaign was overplayed to me. i played the first 3 levels like 2856 times more than the others, and the 2 levels after life 1209 times more than the levels after. that cuz i'd lose save or i'd play cuz i wanted to play thru it again but the levels were so repetative. i never played it all the way thru because i got soooooo bored and everything was the same. its like, kill enemies on dual layer bridge, walk thru hallway, kill enemies on dual layer bridge, walk thru hallway, kill enemies on dual layer bridge, walk thru hallway, kill enemies on dual layer bridge, walk thru hallway. if u all know what level im talking about good. i've barely played pas that point because it was nothing ever knew, just the sme things twisted and torked.
(i feel like imma get a lot of sh*t from fanboys)

i hope they put an option where you can train against the computer , say to get better skilled on sniping or survaving while your damge or so forth smart ai or changeable ai smartness to match your skill .... anyone understand what i mean .? lol

lol. I know what you mean. That level is Assault on the Control Room. The levels were repetitive, but for some unknown reason it doesn?t matter to the player. It?s the atmosphere of the game that is important. In Halo CE it had an epic campaign - full of mystery and challenge. Halo 2 didn?t present me with any challenges what so ever, not even on legendary etc.
