and theres so manyof them.
dont really think theres much more we can talk about halo 3...

Yeh, other than speculation, we'll have to wait for anoth weekly update for some more info. Has anybody got the Halo Graphic Novel yet? I was going to order one from by bookstore down the road but they said it would take 3 weeks at least to come to Aus. I think i'll wait for one on ebay.

ohh yeah I forgot all about those halo videos. most of those I already saw last year. You should see the metal gear solid spoof if they still have it. I believe theres also a Mario one too.
I heard that in the Halo novel they talk about how sgt Johnson mannaged to escape the flood and hop into a paligan. They also talk about the previous tests of the spartan armor. And a further in dept look at the soldiers who fight in the war, the things they face outside and within themselves as well. I think there is about two more stories in the graphic novel.

well using my advanced calculator that has a dule core processor in it running at 4.2 ghz making a total of 8.4 ghz.
i can see we have 5 days left, 45 mins, 10 seconds, 45 miliseconds (if your in the uk)
all this for a update hitch gives no information.
i wish bungie would give more info on halo 3 maby show us clips from another levle anythink more snapshots. weve barley seen anythink of halo 3 and they have being making it for over 2 or 3 years so shouldnt we seee some new footage.

People said exactly the same with Halo 2. I'm not bothered personally. Yes it would be nice to have something new, but its not as if I am going to die if I dont see a video of Halo 3. I will have plenty of time to look at the video's when it comes out.

actually i would rather they show us nothing and dont tell us about any of the new features, i like to start a game not knowing what to expect... but im a little weird too lol

i hate to disagree but if we knew someting then it wouldnt be much of a hit nor we'd be much intrested so yea they have to be as slow as possible until closing date then they can reveal stuff .

I think Ive said this before but here is a couple of things I would like to see in Halo 3 based on the Halo books:
1)"Spartan time" thats right, I said spartan time (it really does exist in the books). Spartans are more quiker than the average human being, in some occasions in the book it would say that when their adrenaline is pumping the see every thing slow down in front of them because of their super human sences.
2)the special spartan gel fluid...in the books it said that spartans have a special gel within their armor which allows them to manually strenghten their armor. Wouldnt it be great to use this gel during campain or multiplayer, you can choose the amount of the gel which you want to use to reinforse your armor whether it be a little or alot so you can withstand more punishment in a firefight. But it should only be temporary.
3)my newest idea, "self-destruct". in the last Halo book I read a part where someones spartan armor was made to self destruct. This would be a nice feature in multiplayer. It should be made as a sort of power up that you can get. you can either choose to self destruct manually to take out your opponents in an impossible situation. Or make it on automatic where its automatically triggered when your killed. The blast should definately be made huge.

Nice ideas there.
I was thinking the other day. Does anyone think like me, that the Bungie video that is played before Halo 1 and 2 has anything to do with the games? It is a globe, and then it started to get overtaken by some form of organism (the flood maybe...).
Maybe it is subliminal messaging.

I dont really like Spartan time. Althought I know it was in the book I dont think it would work well with a game like Halo. Everyone would say Bungie is ripping off the Matrix.

yeah. id rather play halo then read it.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Yup I think we can all agree that playing Halo is much better than reading it, but the books are just so interesting since they contain much more info that was never shown in the game. I hope all the questions from the books get answered in Halo 3.
By the way for those of you who havent read the books and want to catch up on what you missed in the halo universe Ill give a brief summary:
Halo:the fall of Reach- this book mainly focuses on the life of master chief before becoming a spartan. The book starts off by revealing master chiefs true identity, he has tousled brown hair with a couple of freckles across his face. His real name is John. He was recruted by Dr.Halsey and captain keyes when he was about six years old to be in the spartan 2 program. Dr.Halsey is a brilliant scientist who in some ways is considered the mother of the spartan program. the next day John and hundreds of other kids are kidnaped and replaced with flash grown clones. The strongest, smartest and quickest children are taken to a military planet heavily guarded, this planet is known as REACH. (skipping right ahead) the kids are brutally trained over the years as some were to weak and were taken out. They are taught how to survive in the wild with nothing but a knife and how to work as a team. The clones they were replaced with died due to certain deseases implanted in them. John(spartan 117) was then given the rank of master chief by his trainer, chief Petty Officer Mendez. Years later Mendez left to train another batch of spartans. Then came the first incounter with the covenant, whom for no explainable reason destroyed a human colony which started the war between humans and covenant. The war raged for 27 years, more spartans were dying inbattle, it was tearing the masterchif apart seeing the only family his ever known getting sloughtered. Soon the covenant invaded Planet REACH, after a fearce battle the most powerful human military planet fell at the hands of the covenant, not even the 30 remaining spartans could stop them. The master chief on the othr hand escaped REACH with captain Keyes on the Pillar of Autum. Linda another sparatan ended up dying in the Master Chiefs arms (am I sencing some chemistry). The masterchief is put in a cryotube as the ship is thrown in space using a quick jump, it is then they encounter an unknown ring with hydrogen+oxygen atmosphere...Halo!
Halo:the flood-this book is mainly based on Halo CE but with more events an PoV's taking place that didnt happen in the game.
Halo:first strike- this book is based on the events between Halo CE and Halo 2. After escaping the rings explosion, master chief encounters a peligan in space with more human survivers including sgt.Johnson. (skipping right ahead) toggether they hijack a covenant ship and find a human cryotube in space that contain Linda (another spartan who was on the pillar of Autum) but she was considered clinically dead. They fly the ship back to what was left of REACH in find that the covenant was still there doing an escavation looking for some sort of object (which is why they invade REach, same reason they invaded Earth). the master chief lands on Reach only to find a handfull of spartan survivers, he is then overcome with joy to see Dr Halsey who was still alive. (skipping along further) Together they manage to beat the covenant to the artifact hidden underneath REAch, which is some sort of crystall that can bend time. Using advanced technology Dr Halsey manages to bring Linda back to life. Now there only remains 5 spartans John, Will, fred, Linda, and kelly. Towards the end Dr Halsey drugs Spartan Kelly and takes her on a top secret mission. The others come up with a plan to strike back at the covenant. The spartans invade a covenant armada of more than 500 ships while usind one of their own. They sneak aboard waht seems to be the mainframe and set a bomb. Narrowly managing to escape, a huge explosion engulfs every ship in the area. The remaining survivers then return back to Earth where the covenant will be heading towards next.
There you go, now if you excuse me my hands are killing me.
P.S.=the crystal object they find gets destroyed.
