hey i think bungie has been hinting that the MC is african-american.
In the halo theme song, you can here an african shout at around the beginning.
Also, Outskirts/Metropolis is in Africa.
Also, on Outskirts, you can hear the African shout/chant before sniper alley.
I'm just sayin.

lol.
Well apart from the fact that he was born on Eridanus 2. He is white, has freckles and has brown hair. I dont think he is African hehe.
Those 'shouts' that you hear arent supposed to be African, they're god-like chants which fit in with the Halo's mysteriousness.

Once again, stupid me.
i dunno, i just heard rumors that denzel washington was gonna play MC in the moovee.
His hair was brown as a kid, but due to the augmentation, his hair is black with streaks of silver.
BTW, no offense, but Papa Face seems to be the smartest here. I'm really impressed.

Thanks :D
But that rumour you heard was actually Denzel to play Sgt Johnson, not the MC.

Hehe, an African Master Chief.
You learn a lot more from reading the books which I recommend even if you dont like Halo. They have a very good story to them.

I think it will have to be some unknown actor with Steve Downes voice over, after all we wont ever see his mouth move.
I couldn't watch the Halo movie with some strange voice coming out of Spartan-117's suit. It would not be authentic and would, in my opinion, ruin the movie.
There should be as many in-game voice overs in the movie as possible, except where needed like in Sergent Johnson's case, the person should sound as close to him as possible. But for characters like Cortana (Jen Taylor) and prophets, they should have the in-game actors do the voice.

Can we move along?
This has already been discussed about 80 pages ago, and quite frankly its boring. The movie isnt out until 2008 at least.

Most probably longer.
Hear the new Halo 3 editions revelation. New pics of Halo 3 Legendary edition are up and it seems at this time at least the the lower edition before the Legendary will contain a book that Legendary wont. That seems a bit pointless but if thats their money making strategy...
The new build also seem to be coming along well with AI and water updates.

I think it would be cool if you could send and recieve game varients over XBL. It would also be cool if you could download them as a content download. That way you could play them in split screen and in system link without having to be in live to use those varients, and not having to create your own.

this is sorta off topic but i saw 300 yesterday and if the spartans (the old ones) really fight like that then i'd expect the kids to be in aw when Deja showed them that hologram of the battle.

True. I don't assume its chief yet. Just because his helmet was where the kids head was, doesn't mean it was for sure him. Bungie plays with peoples heads a lot. Just like the controversy about the X button and how in the weekly update they said: "We didn't even have to activate or X buttons to win." The X button can just be some kind of way to use an accessory on the map.

@superdupa: I don't think so. They are the best of the best (even before training). Nothing leaves them in awe.
I saw 300 too. I think "spartan" is a fitting name for the supersoldiers (in HAlO).

Yeah you know that the whole deal of calling the spartans in halo, Spartans is because they are super soldiers, if u read all of the books then youll know they tryed the spartan project which failed then they tried the spartan 2 project. thats all

I learned today in south America, theres a mountain Kilimanjaro's same like you get in halo 2 from killing so many people. So basically bungies messing around with south Africa if thats where halo 3 is set to take place.
