We obviously know the prophets were corrupt, at least Truth anyway, he sent Regret to his death and stood and watched as Mercy was consumed by the flood, so do you think they they already know that the Humans are the forerunners (assuming they are which they very well may not be).
The events that took place at Harvest are very sketchy and conflicting as we can tell by the very varying reports given by Commanders and what we hear from Dr Halsey so its possible that we dont know they real reason that the Covenant have a grudge against he Humans and didnt absorb them like every other race.

@papa_face - plugging other sites isn't on - remove the info from your sig
@andy2000 - that 1st link in your link looked like another site at first, i'd suggest you add [IMG] at the front of link and [/IMG] at the end, but make sure both are lowercase to make the pic appear correctly

Hey I heard that bungie was resetting the stats on Halo 2. And doing something else that i cant remember. Anyone know? Anyone know anything new about Halo 3?

HEY TO YOU GUYS THAT GOT INTO BETA - take vids, notes, audios, and try to externaly save it through a mem. card plzzz. any of those would be great for us less fortunate. and trip mine: CONFIRMED bubble shield: CONFIRMED and whats that uzi thing shown in the vidoc. at 51 secs-53 secs...a spiker?

Hey I got the crackdown invite, so im going to be all over Halo 3 with my capture card. Ill send you my youtube when i have videos of it up :D Does anyone think the X button is for the trip mines, and bubble sheild. And what exactly were they talking about in the video when your able to freeze and slow down time? -LET ME KNOW PLEASE!?

I doubt the helmet is that big at all. Bungie said it would sit on your book shelf or something. I got the legendary edition. I heard theres only so long you can preorder it until its gone.
