NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO limewire for me. I know to many people who have gotten busted by the mpaa and RIAA for using that. Even peerguardian does not have all the IP addresses they use. They go after limewire users much more becuase its much easier to track. There was actually a news story on it on foxnews.

Yeah but most of those are college kids linked via Internet 2 connection. That's basically a nationwide college network used by schools. The majority of the RIAA lawsuits have been college kids http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/6868.cfm I use LW with PeerGuardian all the time. Though I understand your concerns, Kaaza is full of Spyware (Over 300 traces according to Spysweeper) LW Pro is Spyware free and works well for me. Of course BT is the best.

I was actually thinking of going back to mIRC...tougher to get in trouble......more access to newer material. Torrents have 1 big flaw...they die out after awile when there is no more seeds.

Yeah I use Azureus which works well, okay it's Java based so it's a resource hog, but I get good speeds and it has a Safe Peer Plugin built in. I'm hesitant to d/l usenet or emule cuz they scream spyware when reading the EULA.

I think emule blows.

Usually if I can download a 4gb game in one day maybe a little bit more. I've learned to be patient I leave my PC running at night so that helps out alot. My up cap is 40k usually I set my DL speed to 40k aswell unless I really want that file bad I set no limit. Also I DL off a good website best so far that I have seen and they are really strict which results in a succesefull torrent site.

There are a couple good torrent sites. For rarer PSX games I like emuparadise.org, torrentsearch.com is decent because it searches all the biggies. It searches piratesbay, mininova, torrentbox, torrentspy, and torrentreactor. Torrent reactor has a good selection of PS2 games. I have backed up so many PSX games I'm now reduced to obscure titles no one has ever heard of (Cyberorg, anybody?). I need to get a DVD burner lol.

Newsgroups are the way to go. I download around 1 Gig an hour. Get all my games and movies off of them. My speed is 370Kb/s not to bad.
