burnout revenge & madden 06 problems

I have made copies of games in the past and haven't really had any problems, but my two newest ones madden 06 and burnout revenge keep freezing. They start up, but then freeze before I ever actually get to gameplay. Any ideas?

I have a version 1 ps2 and i use swap magic 3. I used DVD Decrypter and made an iso and burned to a 4x Ritek dvdr and it works fine. I was using Nero and TDK dvdr and sometimes games would freeze at intro. Using this combo the only game that hasnt work so far for me is Ace Combat 5. In the last 2 weeks I made about 15 copies of the newest releases.

Krazed248,
what brand and speed DVD's do you use.
I had no problem with Burnout Revenge.
Sometime if you use cheap media that does not use
good ink then this will happen.
it could also be if you use +R media
Or if you burn at too fast of a speed. like burning a 4X disc
at 4X speed.
I always buy 8X DVD-R by Philips, but that's just me
Some people like +R but i have not had luck with them
and have great results with -R using them on both my
V7 and V12

I used -R TDK and Sony 8x dvds both burned with Nero at 4x. Also the games dont always freeze at the same spot so I am really confused by it and I just cleaned out my ps2 the other day and all my other games work so it shouldn't be the system.

It turns out it was just a bad burn. I decided to get a new copy and it seems to be working fine. thanks anyways
