does anyone know if the boot cd works on playstaition 1 or 2? Does it even work, the instructions tell me to run cd on playstation and then insert the copied game but it does not say if I need to turn off the playstion or hit reset. help

It doesn't even make sense to turn it off, cuz then the boot sequence would have to start all over again. Which PS1 boot cd do you have? I have PS-X-Change 2 and it is specifically for the PS1.

Mine came with a sticky adhesive for the PSone and a spring for the old PS1. Since I have the PSone I have to use the adhesive so I can have the lid open and swap. So after I insert the game and power on, I wait for the prompt and swap the boot disc with my backup, then hit start and it loads, and I can close the lid too which is pretty cool.

PSX-change is for PSone only, Breaker Pro works on PSone or PS2.

Several sites carry it. Just Google Breaker Pro and you'll find a site you're comfortable with. You'll need a slide card or flip top to use it. For info on slide card check here: http://www.saveware.com/SlideCardUsageAndInstall.htm For info on flip top check here: http://www.chipzone.com/installation/playstation2/fliptop/page1.cfm I reccomend the flip top. Breaker Pro works very well.
