I have a series, in which all episodes are of the .ogg file type. Now, a normal dvd player can't play ogg files, so I have to convert them to a type they can. I tried using a program called Riverpast Video cleaner, to convert them to avi, and then use tmpeg to convert them to a dvd file I can burn to. But I ran into a rather strange problem. The ogg file types are all between 23-26 MB each. Now when I try to convert them to avi, they come out as over 4 gigs each. This dont seem right. I want more then 1 episode (roughly 20 mins) on a dvd. Is this right, is there something better I can use?

I'v never used the program you're talking about, but you saving the new file in the wrong mode. There should be an option called something like "direct stream copy", when you go to save the ogg as an AVI. Direct Stream Copy is he option you want to use. It simply unwraps the video, without recompressing/decompressing it, which is what led you the rather large jump in file size you experienced.

I do not see an option for that. There is a option to no re-encode the video if necessary. I will try that. Do you know of any program I can use that does what you are talking about?

Well, selecting not to reencode made it around 450 MB. I can deal with that. It also cut the time down to convert by about 15 mins. I thank you for your help.
