yes, all programs use the iso folder including dev hook, which doesn't require a umd.

i get two folders FW15 and Fw10 and one has DEVHOOK and DEVHOOK% and the other just says devhook and has all files inside

Use the Folder FW1.5 only, the other is for Firmware 1.0 only
Put the two DEVHOOK & DEVHOOK% into the following Place: PSP/GAME Folder, Example when you first connect your PSP, the Folder that Opens is the ROOT of the Memory Stick, then go to PSP Folder then to GAME folder, put the two folders in there, NOW then press O on PSP to close this window on Computer & then press -> 4 times Until under the Game Icon , make sure you are on Memory Stick, click on that, with X & scroll down the Menu until you see PSP Device HOOK V0.xx
(xx what ever version you have installed), Click on this with X & this should run Device Hook follow instructions on screen to load your .ISO Game or run your UMD in the Drive!!!!! Hope that Helps People with this Program!!!!!
PS.............If this doesn't run the Game, then its not Meant to work with that Game.....OK

As for UMD Emulator 8C, use these settings, they work for alot of the games..........
CPU/Bus speed :333/166MHz
ISO emulation mode : System Menu or Direct Load are the Best
Disctype ISO : game
Disctype UMD :game
Updater Icon : Memstick
Use boot.bin : on
Regioncode override:on
flash0 emulation : on
flash1 emulation : on
If game Doesn't work with those settings then Experiment with Flash0 off and or Flash1 off
Example: The New Harry Potter game requires Direct Load & Flash0 off to Run.........Have Fun

i think battlefront 2 works only with devhook, Infected with umd emulator 0.8c with direct load, kingdom of paradise same as infected, pursuit force with umd emulator , socom and lord of the rings dont work yet as long with gta lc

Hey, i downloaded umd emulator and i have a question. I have only 28mb left can i get a iso? If so can u tell me how to dumb one of my umds so it can become an iso file. And how could i shrink the iso

Lord of the Rings works with UMD Emulator 8C, with it set to Direct Load,
Works BUT............
Sadly when Game Loads Level 2 Game Freezes, so not working Fully!!!!

most games will work with umd emulator. you just gotta try direct load first and if that doesn't work then game menu.

KingPep just use a save game file off the net to get past level 2 lotr.
So far the only games i haven't been able to use have been midnight club 3, vitua tennis and tony hawk. I'm pretty sure tennis and midnight club 3 were just dud d/ls, fifa 06 works only from menu boot, and tony hawk says can't read from disc, i guess i'll try that one with dev hook.
Actually gripshift wouldn't load either, it got to the loading screen and that was it.
This stuff really isn't hard guys, just make sure to read all readmes and the tutorials around the net. And how good is the psp with a few 2gb mem sticks? Time to get a hdd for it lol. Haven't touched the pc or modded xbox since getting it, bleach 2 is my fave game so far,
and when they start using the full processing power (limited to 222 at the mo) imagine what GT PSP will be like :O

i played midnight club, you have to load it off menu and not direct load. but it crashed wehn i tried to change the coulour of my car.

Jalathole read somewhere last night that the rip of MC3 floating on the net doesn't allow you to upgrade your car... If they ripped that out of the game surely it wouldn't work at all??? I also read that you have to use pretty much everything on the umd in the iso of mc3. Gonna make an iso of it today, mate has it, and see what the dilio is.

i have mc3 and i tryed upgrading my car but then it crashed. the iso was 930mb so you have to rip some stuff or else it will be too big for a 1GB ms..

I dumped The Midnight Club 3 DUB edition to my 3 gig memory stick, but in the ISO file, the dumped file is not an iso or any other "type". I tried to load the "my latest dump" file with the Fastloader V 0.7 but it just showed a blank screen and nothing ever happened. Do I need to convert this dumped file to an iso or what? I have heard that MC3 dub is working for others, but i dont know why it didn't write as an iso for my sysytem. Please help

Yeah Jalatahole, heard you can't rip anything, and you need to use a 2gb stick, couldn't get in contacct with my mate yesterday, and ended up getting pretty drunk lol, but that's what weekends are for eh? lol ...great site by the way ;)
eastmont ~ once you have your dump file from fastloader, run it through umdgen, linkage: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/155 then simply rename the output file, whack it in your iso folder and your all good to go, let us know how it goes man.

Hey thanks pbailey, still havin' troubles though. Sooo, the dumped file is a file with no given type. I downloaded the UMDGen v1.01 and renamed "my latest dump" to a ".ugn" type file which is the only type the UMDGen program will open. when i tried to start a project with the file it only gave me the message "Not a UMD Generator project file". Ahh, I'm still stuck. Help, do you have any more suggestions? Thanks

Sorry man, i wrote that wrong, what a coincidence you posted this now, i'm cureently doing the exact same thing you are...
Open umdgen, click and drag the dump file created by iso loader, make sure it's still called My latest dump, just drop it inot the right hand side pane. Click on view in umdgen, go to volume, fill that out, then go to file and export iso, (which is just save as) name the file you want to save it as, and it'll take a while, mine's still going at the mo, (not as long to copy it from the psp to the pc on usb 1.0 tho lol). From there yuo should just have to place the created mc3 iso into the iso folder on the root of your mem stick.
I'll make sure mine works first before going on anymore, nearly finished...
Okay, worked no probs, but the only thing is on my pc for some reason winrar is associated with iso files lol, so once the file had been spat out i had to open that file, the output file from undgen that is, and when i open it there are two files, 1.6gb game and another 4.6 gig (it's not really tho ofc) one. I then extract the game file (1.6gb one) to the hdd, then copy to my psp iso folder, then system load from umdemulator, works a treat. Oh, then rename that file, that's what i meant originally, the file output by umdgen, not the file output by loader 0.7.
If i don't do that method of opening it and extracting the second file first it never works... Any clues why this is anybody?
Hopefully that's pretty easy to follow.
Now that i have it working i'll try one of the rippers to remove the movies, but i'll have to look into that first. Sweet game, and to give you an idea of the load differences off a 2gb mem stick compared to the umd, it took around 12 seconds to the load the race at the very most...
LOL, first thing i did was change the color of the car, all works fine, but feck me 1.6gb is big, lucky i got two 2gb mem sticks lol, cause it takes an age to copy that to the mem stick over usb 1.0 lmao :)
Oh, and there's a truck load of vids that must surely be able to be relinked without interfering with anything... What's the best or so you just use rip packs?
