mod chip or swap magic
please search next time first

Hi,
the burner is hp300e
the media is imation dvd+r
the speed is 1x with decrypter and 2x with nero
i use a swap magic dvd 2.0 ver.
i can rip and burn with decrypter and nero
but the game is not show up on my ps2
maybe the media???

Hi let me ask you this are these the first games you ever burned if so then let me tell you the media you use is crap well for me it is second have you ever used dvd loader maybe the games need it since your using swap magic 2.0 if they don't work with dvd loader then it's the media try verbatim,maxell,or TDK i don't know much about dvd+rs but i use dvd-rs 8x media and you can burn at 4x if you want
you can find dvdloader on my SIG hope something works for you

i did a straight 1:1 copy with maxell DVD-R at 4X speed, try another brand of disk,

Here is your problem. In my experience, 90% of DVD+R media will NOT burn PS2 games. Get -R media. Any kind will do. I have been using FujiFilm 8x and Liquid Video 2x (but burning at 4x) and have yet to have a bad burn.

I backed up The Hulk a few weeks ago with no problems using Sony DVD-R and DVD Decrypter..
You should have no problems doing it if u use the right media etc!!

That's funny, because 90% of my PS2 backups (including Ultimate Hulk and Ultimate Spidey) are on DVD+Rs. It would be 100%, but 10% of them are CD games =p
Anyway, people's experiences with different brands and formats of DVDs will differ wildly depending on their specific burner, their PS2, and even their computer.

that's what you get for using crappy media.
use taiyo yuden -r or +r which ever your ps2 likes if both then good.
they're the best.
i burn them at 8x and get from 20-60 pif!!
to a lesser extent verbatims but they suck compared to yudens

to me i think maxell are really good i have over 100 games backed up and like 75 verbatim with no problems with either one

anyone know if RCA dvds suck cause I always used verbatim never a problem and now jus tried a few different methods for ultimate spiderman and I tried true crime they are both choppy
