I am seeking any ideas on transferring my mp3 collection to dvd or cdr, not sure which is the best.

I have transferred my whole cd collection and want to store them on dvd or cdr's.

I also want to store my backups of software to the best dvd or cdr.

If anyone has a guide or information this would really help.

Thanks in advance

well just about any program will do this for you like roxio or Nero as far as media i would use both cdr for music as most devices now play mp3s so you could play them right off of the cdr and for data use dvd or both what ever combo you like. you can search the guides and forums for best media to use everyone has a different preference though many recommend i think its called ty yuden.

Taiyo Yudens the best in my experience. Ritek seems to be right up there with the TY's and Verbatims are decent.

You can get all of these from someplace like supermediastore.com or meritline.com. They won't be fake ones from there.

Thanks Mr E

will I have to do any certain data mumbo jumbo for files to be added (example) iso or something else.

i just simply wanna use the dvd's as a bigger storage for bigger file collection rather then cdr's or external HD's.

thanks again for your help

i agree
im just simply trying to find any guide on the easiest way to store my music files as well as my softwares for storage reasons.

if i can't get help then i will have to resort to the painful "call of duty" and put them on a reliable cdr.

thanks

what burning programs do you have? Nero is an excellent tool to burn with, make cd-r and dvd, along with a data dvd.... my personal fav. very easy to use. let me know, i can give you a walk thru (if you have nero)
