DVD not working on Samsung DVD player

I copied an movie and it works fine on my computer (PHillips DVD-RW) and it works fine on my Sony 5-disc DVD player. But I gave it to a friend of mine to view and he says when he puts it in his DVD player (Samsung model) it didn't work. Works fine on his computer but not his DVD Samsung player. The error message he was getting when he put it on his DVD player was that it was Downloading.

Any idea how this happens and to correct it?

how old is this dvd player because some will not play DVD-R, DVD+R or RW

I agree with you it might not be DVD- compliant. I am trying to find out from my friend so when i do I will report back.

yes check to srr if it will play any burned dvd's not burned cd's as some will play cd-r but not DVD-R. Also I have one dvd player that will play DVD-R but not DVD+R so check that also.
