Yeah SM 2.0 is awful. Too many games that needed to be patched, loaded with CD or DVD loader. Upgrade to 3.6. No fix for it on SwapMagicfix.com. Couldn't find an exact TOC for this game, between 3.75 GB's and 4.03GB's depending on who you ask. A straight burn with DVD Decrypter should work. Burn at 1x, 2x, then 4x, until it works. Use good DVD-R's, no Memorex or Imitation. Here's a guide for DVD Decrypter: http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id3.html

I am also struggling to burn this one. I've tried Verbatim and Fuji discs, both have always worked in the past for me. The game loads slow and is choppy with SM 2.0, and doesn't load at all with SM 3.6.
No idea whats wrong with it.

Have you tried a straight burn with DVD Decrypter? This isn't a large game and shouldn't need rebuilt. I know people have backed it up. Try burning at 4x on an 8x DVD-R.

You can either try burning at 1x, or update your burners firmware. That may allow you to burn above 2x. Your other options are rebuilding: http://home.earthlink.net/~moderator/id4.html#rebuilding or getting a newer burner. THe BenQ 1640 is supposed to reliable, and you can pick one for around $40. As I said before this game is only 4.03GB's so it shouldn't need rebuilt.

I did a straight burn with NBA2k6 an dit ran really choppy and loaded very slow. I rebuilt the game an dthere are still some minor issues with the FMV, but the game loads up fine and plays fine.

1. Q. How do I burn PS2 games?
A. Use DVD Decrypter. Guide: http://www.angelfire.com/games6/easytutorial/dvddec/dvddec.html Burn at 4x on an 8x DVD-R.
2. Q. Does the type of media I use matter?
A. YES: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/3/240341 If you're too lazy to read, use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Sony or Phillips DVD-R's. Avoid Memorex, Staples, Imation, etc.
3. Q. Do I need some type of mod to play PS2 backups or imports?
A. Yes you need a modchip: http://teammodders.com/ps2_mc.php?ex=2 Swap Magic: http://swapmagic3.com/ Memory Card Exploit (Doesn't work with v.11 PS2 and later): http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/109289 HD Loader: http://www.hdloader.com.au/hardinstall#prepare or
HD Advance: http://www.hdadvance.com/hd_advance_how-to-use.htm
20. Q. What are DNA's?
A. Any game made after 2003 for the PS2 that is online playable contains one or more image files that has a "disk
DNA checker." The online game server checks your game disk to see if it's the real thing or not. Thus, you have to discover which .img file on the game disc has the checker file.
21. Q. How do I patch DNA's?
A. http://www.ps2nfo.com/on-line.html
22. Q. Where can I find DNA ID's?
A. NTSC-US: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/199101C
PAL: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/198137

yous should read a little more ... yes every game has there unique DNAS code .. follow the guide Tokijin posted.
Or if your too lazy to read ill make it short and simple ... following that guide will make your BACK-UPs work online. Taking into consideration you'v pulled the dnas code off the original.
that isnt really needed here is it ? i thought that nba 2k6 was only offline ?
