I'm looking into buying a External Hard Drive for my PS2 and using USB EXTREME.. What I wan't to know is what would be the best external Hard Drive for the $

I already have a Flip Top for my PS2 and use Swap Magic.. I want the Hard Drive so I can backup games on the Hard Drive that don't run well with Swap Magic.

any info or links would be greatly appreciated....

if it doesnt work well with swap magic the it most likely wont work with usb extreme since its compatibility with games arent that good.

Well my whole this is with loading times and such.. Yes I know USBEXTREME only boots as fast as an original CD or DVD would but it shouldn't stutter and stuff (sound wise) on the HD as a backup right?

well some games work well while others will often freeze and i know that cg movies and intros will stutter hardcore but game play should be fine. check the compatibility list of games that work on http://www.xafiers-home.com/ps2/gamelist.php

So would I be better off going all out and getting a PS2 compatible HD network adapter and using HD Advance or HD Loader?

How hard is it to install the games to the HD and setup compared to USB Extreme?

basicly I'm just trying to see which way would be best to go$ wise since I already have the fliptop and swapmagic.. I just want some of the games that load worth crap (even on good media and burnt at slow speeds) to load right...

I do notice by looking at the list of compatible games that alot of the games that act funny with Swap magic work and alot of the games that don't work with USB EXTREME work fine with Swap magic.. How odd
