Well, sorry to say this, but most good media isn't cheap.
The best media *in general* are Verbatim, TDK *tayo Yuden* and Ritek.
They aren't cheap, but they work the best, and your ps2's laser won't die on you after half a year of intensive use.

One last comment : DON'T USE Memorex ! they'll kill your ps2's laser.

crappp memorex wrecks the laser?! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i have a few games on memeorex discs!!!

Put those backups on different media, those memorex things will really wear down your laser in record time...

The general rule is: if it's cheap, it's either bad for the laser or you end up with faulty discs So just go for media that costs a bit more, it will save you a lot of trouble (and, not to mention, a lot of possible heartache from having to re-backup a game several times)

BRAND doesn't matter. the MID does. with memorex they tend to use cmc mag more now that's why they suck. they used to use yuden and mcc.
