Only games like Everquest cost you extra if you want to play online, most games are hosted on free servers.
And yes, a headset is definitely worth buying, i'd also advise you to get a cheap usb keyboard as well, for games that don't support headsets.

Hey,sorry for making you come back to this thread but I just had to thank you, and I wanted to ask you what the keyboard would be for?
Thats just used to chat before you get to the game correct?

Also can you say bad words on the headset? How does that work?
How old are most of the gamers?(I guess it would depend on the game)
sorry about the stupid questions,
I could not find much info about online gameing anywhere And I could not wait to find out for myself.
Witch online game Do you play the most?

Thanks again

Woah, now that's quite a list of questions, so let's see...

1. Not all game support the use of the headset (like games from the Tony Hawk series for example), so having a keyboad is really handy.
Games like socom 2 and killzone also enable you to chat through both the headset and keyboard before a game starts.
2. There is no censoring on the headsets, so you can say whatever you want. Typed chats ARE censored though, but you can usually get around the censoring.
3. The age of the gamers varies throughout the time of day. Laet at night, early in the morning and before the afternoon players in the games i play range between 15-30. In the afternoon and evening the number of younger kids rises severely, but simmers down again around 10 pm.
4. I don't play online that much anymore, but i usually played socom I and II, Tony Hawk's Underground I and II, and Resident Evil : Outbreak and Residet Evil : Outbreak File 2.

hope this answers most of you rquestions, if not, feel free to ask whatever you want to know.

I don't have a headset but I've been told xmen 2 doesn't support headset. It's a damn shame too 'cause it'd be a great help to communicate with your teammates in a game like that.

IF you bought the game, either the cover or the booklet should have the info on wether headsets and keyboards are supported.
