Hi all...
Am a newbie in this whole matter, and I want to know how to get PS2 games (preferably PAL ones) to copy (and work) on my unmodified PS2, without Swapmagic or modchips, just like normal original releases! P.S: I used the search function and didn't find a thing!
Please no flaming, am just too young to die :P
Cheers !
Wassup all!

you cant. An unmodified ps2 is only good to play YOUR region DVDs and games. Once you add either a modchip or swap magic to the equation, then the PAL games and copied games are then playable. plan and simple no modchip/swap dics then no burned or out of region games
Slimline PS2: swap magic v.3.6 w/ swap pro v2

agree with SpadeX,
do your research on your options
Swap Magic and a flip top is best for most people
A mod chip is for those who want the best and do not
do any online gaming.

If its a modchip, which is better? Does it play all kind of PAL and NTSC DVD videos and games?? Please help!!

Well, modchips have more features and stuff.
But I went with Swap Magic. I can play my backups online, (You can patch the video mode, btw eg. PAL-NTSC or NTSC-PAL!)
You also avoid butchering your system, Swap Magic is so easy to use.
There are loads of sites that deliver world wide. For a list of Swap Magic retailers, go here --> http://www.swapmagic3.com/Swap_Magic_Where_To_Buy.asp

for the black and white games (NTSC)
the only real option is changing the screen mode
on Swap Magic and see if that works
or use a conversion program like mentioned above.
But Swap Magic is prone to cutting off the bottom
part of the screen when playing games from different regions.

I've never had any part of the screen cut off with any region of games.

Sorry, I meant to say you could use a program to change the video modes. That's what I said "patch" sorry, for not pointing that out!
