Ok. What I got is 12 episodes of Mash. I added all of them to Vso Divx2Dvd. I then opened with Dvd shrink and encoded to iso image to burn with Dvd Decrypter. Everything went has planned but Dvd won't play in dvd player. Tried three times. I have converted movies and burned b4 without any problems. I just never have had the need to compress b4. I use Maxell which I have never had a problem with that wasn't caused by human error. What am I missing? Thanx.
I've backed up every season of MASH out using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink with no problems. They play on both of my stand alone DVD players. You might want to try that.
Ok, Let me try this over. I have 12 episodes of Mash that r in DivX fomat. If I simply convert them to dvd they won't all fit on one disc. So what I did was convert them using vso divx2dvd. Then I added the folder to dvdshrink and then burned the end result with DVD Decrypter. I can get the disc to play on pc but not stand alone dvd player. After I convert with divx2dvd I end up with a folder full of vts files. I opened the folder with dvdshrink and encode. I end up with a iso image on hard drive. When I convert the 12 episodes I add all episodes at one time and end up with one folder.
Yeah thats how I do It,Try it on a differnt DVD Player
Sorry I really dont no what the problem could be,
Find a guide and follow it if you never did this before.
Ustop,
I also would do it the way you did exept I would limit it to 6 episodes per disk. I find no fault in you method and the only thing I can think of is the DVD Player does not likethe blank media you used. What was the blank media. You might want to D/L DVDinfoPro ( free) and do a CRC test to see if there are any errors on the burned media. It will also tell you who the real manuf of the blank DVD is
What i can add is that I tried one episode first. I converted and burned. I used a DVD+RW to test like I've done many times before. It played fine. The problem occured when I tried to convert multiple files, compress and then burn. But I didn't get any errors. The problem I have with putting only 6 episodes on disc is that I now have 24 episodes and I don't want to use up 4 discs. Im not saying I'm cheap Im just lazy. I would like to throw dvd in and watch as many episodes as possible without moving. That's a joke, sort of. Also I can add when I put dvd in player I get message "check tv system" never got that message b4. Well, if u can think of anything else I would appreciate the info. Thanx for the help.
So a few months ago I decided I wanted to make a dvd of all the standup comedy clips that I found on the net, SNL stuff mostly downloaded in AVI or MPG. I got this awesome program:
I told it where the AVI and MPG files were and it made a menu, encoded them to dvd format and burnt me a disc. The disc is just like a normaly dvd. I pop it in the stand alone and it loads up to the menu and plays some music and I can pick what clip I wanna watch.
I was very impressed with this program, it's very easy to use and makes amazing results!
Try giving that a shot it might make things a little easyer....
