I have used the following Dvd Media to burn my ps2 backups on:

Imataion DVD-r
and
Sony DVD+r

Were they safe to use? Will they ware out the laser fast?


Next, I am planning to buy a few hundred more DVD's, So I was wondering, which is better from your standpoint (DVD-r and DVD+r, doesnt really matter to me)....

Stay away from Dynex. There are very low quality. The best out there is Taiyo Yuden. If you search the forum you will see that is the consensus. verbatim is prob second best. you can get a good deal on a 100 pack of 8x Taiyo Yuden 8X DVD-R at supermediastore.com for the next day or so. better hurry.

I say Verbatim or TDK
I have used TDK and they work fine.
I have used many many many Philips DVD's and love them
I would go with DVD-R 8X speed
