I know that there are some very good gurus here on this board, I'm just curious as to how they are going to decipher what your problem could possibly be, based on all the info you presented.
Best of luck,
Rich

styguy is right no one can tell you how to fix your problem unless you give some more information. What exactly is the error message? Are you burning an iso backup file, because decrypter will only burn iso files, not VOB. Does your burner support -R media?

I am burning an iso backup file and my burner supports DVD-R disks. Sometimes when I bring up DVD Decrypter and click on the movie icon from my hard drive it says, (unknown 9-09 9-90). Other timews it will say device not ready even though the disk is in to be copied. I hope this is enough info. Thanks

Thanks Arniebear. I followed your directions for the first link and I was able to burn the iso movie using dvddecrypter at 4x speed. Does it matter what type , brand name , disks I use. I burnes on Maxell but KHypermedia seems to cause a problem. Maxell, too, has read an error in the past. Would you stick to certain brand names and avoid the cheap ones? Thanks again, I'll keep you posted.

I usually stick to brand names, they are tried and true. However, if you are having difficulties with media, make sure your burner firmware is up to date. You can check it in Decrypter it give you the option under Tools, and then Drive you will see check for firmware update. Maxells are good disks and so are Verbatim, Sony and Fuji (those that are made in Japan). Also you can get the disk that I find the best which are Taiyo Yuden available online from reputable dealers.

The Fuji disks made in Japan are Taiyo Yuden. There is still a sale going on at Staples on the colored ones, just check on the sticker for the MIJ.

Still having problems, Arniebear. I went to DVD Decrypter and checked formware but I am confused. I have a Matshita UJ 810 C102 but it says that that drive is for a toshiba laptop and I have a Sony laptop. Also, it says that C104 and 105 is for the Sony but that is not the burner that I have. I'm confused. Also, I am still getting error messages when I try to burn from the iso movie I backed up.
The errors are: I/O error SCSI Status: 0x02 Interpretation: Check Condition. Cannot write medium.
or the other error is Peripheral Device Fault.
I am so lost. Any help you can give will be followed. And I thought I had the problem licked. Thanks

OK, i AM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS. i UPGRADED THE FIRMWARE FOR MY sONY vAIO LAPTOP TO 104 BUT i STILL CANNOT BURN. When I put the blank disk in the get one of the following errors: Focus Servo Error, No Seek Complete, or (unknown 9x09 - 9x90).
If the disk manages to begin burning an iso backuped file it stops before it is finished and always says I/O Error and then.....
-CAnnot Write Medium or
-Incompatible Format or
-Peripheral Devoce Write format or
Power allibration Error.
I know this is pretty broad but I am ready to jump into the trash with all of the ruined DVD-R disks. Help, thanks.
