1 - I need to edit out a few frames from a .AVI file as there are a couple of v loud high pitched "Screetches" during the film. I tried using Win Movimaker but when I saved the resulting .AVI (after REMOVING 2 frames) the size of the .AVI went from 700Mb to 15 GIG!!! Can you believe that!!! MAD!
- Is there a reason for this?
- Do I need different software?
2 - The film in question is also in two parts: 2 x (approx) 700Mb .AVI's(unedited). I am able to use Super DVD creator to combine the two AVI's into 1 DVD format (5.4 Gb), unfortunately Super DVD creator seems to save DVD formats onto HDD into .MP3 and .VOB instead of (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) PAL DVD format. This means that DVDShrink will not open the file and I am therefore unable to shrink it to 4.7 GB. VSODIVxtoDVD is great but I cant seem to combine multiple files (or open the Super DVD creator .MP3 and .VOB format)
- Is there a way to force Super DVD creator to save in the (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) PAL DVD format onto the HDD?
- Is there a way to get VSODIVxtoDVD to open 2 seperate files and combine them to 1 (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) PAL DVD file structure?
- Is there a way I can get DVDShrink to open 2 seperate files and combine and shrink them to 4.7 Gb?
3 - I cannot find any other conversion software that will open multiple .AVI files and save them to HDD as one file in (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) PAL DVD format in order that I can use DVD shrink to fit the film onto 1 DVD.
- Is there such software?
- Can I somehow copy files from 1 Video_TS directory to another Video_TS to combine them manually.
4 - I tried to combine files using NERO but instead of being able to view ANY films on my DVD player using NERO as the (VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS) is shown on my TV as a file structure instead; even when I specify "DVD Video" format.
- Is there a reason for this? have I got settings wrong?
Sorry to go a bit CRAZY in this post but its doing my head in! seems such a simple thing to do in principle!
Cal I got Nero 6 - could u tell me how to do this and how to get Nero to burn a PAL DVD so I can play it instead of it just showing me the Video_ts and the Audio_TS file structure whe I burn as a DVD Vidoe file to DVD?
nero vision express is what I use to combine two files into one playable movie. In the options you can change to PAL or the other one I think it is NTSC or somthing close to that. There are tutorials on this site as well as Nero.com to give you step by step.
sorry you will have to use another Nero program first to remove those frames I think it is called wave editor or wave tracks just do that prior to Nero vision
depends graetly on computer speed and ram and video card if it works then you can tweek it so that it will be faster I'm sure there are things that can be skipped
