What media are you useing? What speed are you burning at? Is your firmware for your dvdrw drive up to date?

Why post the same question again?

I asked you several questions, just like these fine members are asking and you haven't answered them in the last thread or your new thread!!!!!!!

Did you see everyone asking you about your media!

Windata dvd- r? I still haven't heard of that media. What is the MID code of it?
Use this free handy tool to find that MID code/burner model#/and firmware version, and it is free:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...

Some stand alone players/game consoles/and dvd-drives are sensitive to different media. This makes them picky. There's something about that media that your x-box and dvd-rom doesn't like. That MID code would be very handy to find out if it is media/hard ware/or software related.

Try some better stuff!

Hi dvd_craze,

Your sony DRU-800 is a rebadged lite-on SOHW-1693S and you should be able to use the lite-on booktype utility with that drive. Here's a link to the lite-on booktype utility and there is also a link to a usage manual on that page. http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=83441 Good luck and let me know how you make out.

dvd_craze,

You can use dvd identifier http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/ to verify that the booktype is dvd-rom after you have burned the disc. It should look like this Disc & Book Type : [DVD+R] - [DVD-ROM]

I wouldn't worry about it unless you have playback problems. I've seen that error pop up a few times but the backup played fine.
