convert dvd movie to movie player format? (sony clie)

I have a sony clie (ux-50) and want to convert some recent dvd movies to a file so I can put them on my memory stick and watch them in the clie.
According to Sony, the clie plays either 'movie player format' or 'mpeg format'. I am assuming the mpeg format is mpeg2? I have dvd decrypter and nero ultra and I am trying to figure out what the right chain of operations are...

Any pointers/help is appreciated.

U might try ghangeing the .VOB Ext TO .Mpeg see if that works..if that does'nt work use womble mpeg-vcr this will convert your files to mpeg with no quality loss
