PS2 Backup Help Please!

Hey, I have tried serveral game such as GTA:SA, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy 10, ect and i still can't play a dvd backup. I use Prodisc DVD+R. I use the Magic 3.6 Boot Disc and Flip top( I have a Slim PS2). I copy the orginal playstation 2 disc in my drive and puuting the iso and the mds on my hdd. then i burn it to my Prodisc Dvd+R. when i put my Magic 3.6 disc in and when the screen has the Load Program, Video Mode, ect i hit the open button and it says "insert bigger TOC disc" then i put the backup in. Then it goes back to the index with the Load Program, video mode, ect but on the button it says "Not a valid PS2 Disc" i hit X but nothing happens please help me here i've been asking and looking to solve this problem. am i doing anything wrong? is it my Discs? or am i not using the magic boot disc properly? First thing I'd do would be try using DVD-R media if that doesnt work try rebuilding the games you can find out how in this forum

ya lol thanks i didn't open up the flip top the right way, i hit the open button to switch the discs not the flip top. lol stupid me thx a lot. and i just bought Sony Dvd-Rs those are pretty good right?
