I know that DVDX Gold & Platinum will do this easily, but is there any free programs that will do this while keeping the menus intact?

CloneDVD will also do this, it is not free but there is a 21 day free trial period.

DVD Shrink can do this in the re-author mode (menus lost but who needs them). DVD Shrink is free.

I haven't tried the Intervideo DVDCopy 4 yet (I'm gonna DL it today). I DL'd DVDFab and tried it and it works pretty good. I already knew that I could split with DVD Shrink. That is the primary program I've been using for almost 2 years now, but I want to keep the menus. I have DVD Clone along with AnyDVD, but I've yet to figure out how to split using it. Thanks for all the help.

If you already have CloneDVD2 you can use it to split movies and retain the menu function. You have to split at chapter transitions but that should be ok. Going th the 'help' button on CloneDVD2 gives this info on 'splitting';

Splitting: If you want to copy the whole DVD or you want to copy a movie with extra length, it is advisable to split it over two DVD media. First of all you have to select ?preserve menus? for keeping the overview. Via the ?chapter cutting? function you can split the main movie in two parts while selecting for example the chapters 1-9 for the first DVD media. Select now further titles like ?Special Features? and start the copying process for the first DVD media. When the copying process has finished, please click on the ?Back? button until you reach the window with the title selection. Please click with the right mouse button into the title selection dialogue: You can invert your selection for the first DVD media, like in this example, it means that the chapters 10-16 of the main movie and the rest of the titles will be automatically selected
HINT: If you want to split a multi-angle movie, please cut off the same chapters for each camera angle. You can easily recognize titles with different camera angles, as they all have the same playing time!

It sounds more difficult than it really is, give it a try.

I only got Clone because it was a good deal with AnyDVD, so I hadn't played around with it a lot, plus I was already used to Shrink and Decrypter. I give it a shot after work tonight, Thanks.
