gta san andreas wont load completley with swap magic 3.6

I made two backup copies of my origanal san andreas disk for ps2 and used swap magic3.6 it only loads the intro movie of san andreas. but it pauses a lot when loading the movie of san an. Then it gives me a black screen and nothing happens. Any help please.

I have TDK DVD+R 8X 4.7Gb media and a nec dvd burner

two things to try
first try setting the booktype through DVD Decrypter to
DVD-Rom with your +R media

Try rebuilding the ISO then burn it

try some -R media

I did a copy of mine on -R and it works fine

I heard that this game works better on DVD+R, as the PS2 reads the disk constantly!? Just what I heard!

I also read on another thread that the ps2 will play backed up movies. He said to try the movie on the blank media i would backup my san andreas disk with. I did but the movie stops at the menue and freezes does it mean the media not compatible with my ps2. i know its not my lense because i cleaned it and it plays all my other originas fine including origanal movie. I try the boot type with DVD Decrypter

a movie should play no problem.
They are not nearly as picky about media
i backed up many movies on TDK 8X DVD+R
I just prefer -R for all my games
almost always Philips 8X DVD-R
Some PS2's like -R, some like +R
some have no problem with either


sorry, a few more questions:
1. have you looked on the net to see if your burner has any
firmware updates available?
2. Is your system (PC) running on FAT32 or NTFS?
3. Is the burner an internal or external?

It should not be freezing up on you, the TDK media
should work great. Try doing a movie with a different program
like DVD Shrink (free) and see if it works
If it does the uninstall DVD Decrypter and redownload
and install it again.

I BACKEDUP GTA SAN ANDREAS with no probelm all I did was iso read, iso write. No rebuilding and it worked. BTW I used sony DVD-R and swap magic 3.6

My dvd burener is internel and I have ntfs file system. win xp pro sp2 and i cannot find any updates for my dvd burner i think i have latest I should try DVD-R i have to go out and buy some with the movies i have used CloneDVD CopyToDVD but when i play it on ps2 they all stop and freeze but on a stand alone dvd player works fine

i burnt gtasa on a verbatim and had problems at the start of the game than i burnt on cheap media (datawrites) and it works perfectly so no sure what was happening there
