i'm a newbie here, and i love all the usefull information you guys have already provided, although i still have some unanswered questions that i hope some of you will be able to answer....

1st.Can the dsm4 pro/lite play games from all regions (including imports from Japan). i own a american system v.7.

2nd. Is there anything this chip dosn't play?(if it dose except all regions)

And finally on a different note, Can my system read dvd-r.(is this a system to system thing or a matter or which version you own)?

1. yes, no problem
2. no, it should play anything
3. all PS2's should read -R. The older models (V1-4)
have been known not to read +R

one thing i forgot.
the modchip is the best mod out there for a PS2
but you can not play back up games online with one because most
sites will detect the chip and they do not allow
cheat devices
for that you would also need Swap Magic and an aftermarket
flip top lid so you can load a back up game and play
them online

Thanx...just wanted to cross the t's and dot the i's...i knew magicswap couldn't play some imoprts/backup's right off the hop due to larger TOC of some games espicially DVD9....i just want something that dose it all w/ little or no hassele right from the start...thank u DMS$ pro and ToxicOS for making it sooo easy, and user friendly:)
