when i finish using dvd shrink and it goes to burning it only burns at 4x any ideas on why? i have replaced my dvd burner with a new one i have 16x dvd-r's i dont understand y it would only burn at 4x. if there is a setting anywhere to change the speed PLEASE PLEASE let me know.

What brand/model of burner and brand of media?

From what I am reading at this forum, you should not burn faster than 4x if you want quality. I'm a newbie though so if I am misreading what I am reading somebody tell me.

9mmruger1 carries some good advice and I would heed it but if you want to burn at 16 X then insert 16X blank in set the burn to Max and let it rip.
While you ar at it D/L DVDinfoPro ( free) and do a CRC Test on that disk you burned at 16X. I'll bet it has more errors on it than letters on the Page you are reading.

Set write speed in Shrink: Click Backup > Burn setting and there is your speed if you are burning w/ Nero.
If burning w/ DVDDecrypter you set the speed in Mode .iso write. Once you have loaded the .iso files look at the lower right and there is the speed setting
